Meet the Artist
“Art is the reason to get out of bed in the morning. Where emotions are free, and dreams become realities.”
– Andi Vail

Throughout my life I have always tried to find meaning in the things that shape us all as humans. Being in touch with one’s emotions allows for new perspectives, but often we are clouded and distracted by the struggles of the world. Growing up it was stressed that being an artist is a hard and challenging life, and for a long time I believed that and put my efforts in what was “societally expected” to create what would be considered stability. Until one day I found myself surrounded by people who understood my artistic passion and talents, even if I didn’t accept them. Through art I was able to express myself, and bring out the deep seeded meanings in things I saw to others.
For me, the purpose of creativity is not just to show the happy parts of the world, (while that is a major focus), but it is to bring all emotion to the forefront. Not all things in life are beautiful or happy, but in the sadness or anger we are able to learn and grow. It is about the stories we all have, and knowing that we are not alone in our journey. Art brings people together and causes us to think deeper about how we treat each other and ourselves. That is why SpielBound Creations was born.
A spiel is a German word that means play, but in English it is used to describe an impassioned story. It was the perfect word to describe what I do. I play, and tell stories. Mine or others. It is almost a spell that binds us together. Just by being here on this page you are part of the bond we all have, the red thread that connects us. So please enjoy the variety of art that is shown here, and remember we all have a story to tell, you are not alone.
